R.I.P.

A great light of the modeling world has gone out.
Daul Kim, an amazing up and coming model died by suicide this morning.
It's a sad, sad day.

A gorgeous addition to any wardrobe, please some one snap it up so I can live vicariously through you...

The Aforementioned...

As I mentioned before, I won LNA leggings from Chickdowntown via Kennedy's lovely blog
(thank you yet again, Kennedy and Chickdowntown!) Their first outing was about 3 weeks ago to watch Where The Wild Things Are (which may very well be the perfect movie). The best part of the leggings has to be the zipper detail. It's an impeccable touch, making them far more interesting than run-of-the-mill ubiquitous legwear. This dress was from a garage sale, at which I got it with two skirts for $5, and which I altered. It used to be a longer waisted, 80's style wrap dress, now it's a one shouldered wonder. I do love my D.I.Y.'s!

Thrifted jacket, belt and heels. Garage Sale dress.

Killer Queen.

Queen Michelle of Kingdom of Style may very well be that cool girl I'll never be. She's got a futuristic feel like an It Girl from 2030. Not only does she rock leather and metallic sheen better any Lady Gaga wannabe, she's got a penache for layers, doing little features on "layer cakes", highlighting each layer of an outfit. Simply put, she is a master of galactic, robo-layer-awesomeness. See all the action here.

P.S. How much do you want leather shorts now? Yeah, I'm starting to think I can't live without them too.

Can't Escape These Cold, Cold Winds.

running through my mind right about now.

Mind-Blowing.

These are possibly the coolest vintage boots ever.
If you are a size 6, and have $115 kicking around...why don't you own these yet?!?

Ms. Jetson.

Another lovely ChicReward: this AA bodysuit. It's an item that I'd usually deem too "edgy" for me but it turns out it's the right amount of sexy. Expect it to make rotations through my wardrobe, since I like the futuristic feel of the leatherette/mesh combo. Another great part of this outfit are my new best friends: the Payless lace up booties. They were an astonishing $12.50, thanks to a coupon from Oprah and Payless (50% off, down from the original $80 to $25). Seriously, I nearly died when I found out at the checkout. Thanks Oprah!

American Apparel bodysuit. Thrifted cardigan, jacket, skirt, scarf.
Buffalo Exchange tights. Payless boots.

Le Sac'd.

Making old dresses into a le sac style is saving many things which I thought I'd get rid of.
Including this dress, which didn't have the best shape.
Luckily I save the cute print with a quick snip, sew, and addition of some grosgrain ribbon.

Thrifted dress made into le sac. Old Navy heels. H&M scarf. Joe jacket.
Ardene's tights. Dirty Librarian Chains necklace.
